This expert has been involved in communications technologies, including telephony, wireless, and networking, in both engineering and litigation support roles for over 20 years. Ten of his twelve U.S. patents are communications based (the other two are coding/data storage), as are seven of his previously disclosed litigation support engagements.
Five of his communications patents form the early basis of OFDM. The OFDM technology he developed in the 1980s for modems is now incorporated in both advanced 802.11 wireless and all DSL technologies. His basic patents are each directly referenced by over 100 subsequent modem and OFDM patents. His expertise extends to related concept and system areas (see below). He has been consulting and supporting litigation efforts since 1996 and has been involved in numerous matters.
