I have 35 years of experience, and specialize in the field of microbiology with specific knowledge in the areas of food quality and safety, environmental forensics and indoor air quality. I have published on such topics as food borne pathogen detection, environmental microbial forensics and diagnostic microbiology. I have testified on DNA fingerprinting and indoor air quality. Over the 40+ years as a microbiologist I have had a broad training and experience in clinical, public health and environmental microbiology. I was a pioneer in the area of ancient DNA and its usefulness in scientific applications as well as environmental microbial forensics.
