I have 18 years of experience, and specialize in the field of sleep and circadian rhythms with specific knowledge in the areas of circadian rhythm sleep disorders (eg. shift-work, jetlag, non-24-hour sleep wake disorder), shift schedules, workplace sleepiness and fatigue management and the effects of light, particularly blue light, on fatigue and sleep. I have published on such topics as the effects of work hours of medical error rates, large scale occupational sleep disorders screening programs enactment, treatment of sleep disorders in the blind with melatonin and the alerting and therapeutic effect of blue light exposure.
