I have 10 years of experience, and specialize in the field of bioethics with specific knowledge in the areas of research ethics, human subjects protections and cosmetics. I have published on such topics as living wills, ethics of research on vulnerable communities and the history of philosophy. I am associate professor of philosophy and healthcare ethics. My published work explores the philosophy of medicine and bioethics, including research ethics, as well as early modern philosophy and the philosophy of education. I have been Co-Principal Investigator for studies of research ethics funded by Office of Research Integrity and the National Institute of Nursing Research. I have also provided expert bioethics commentary for television and regional newspapers. Recently, I have served as an ethics consultant for the cosmetics industry.
