I have 40 years of experience, and specialize in the field of architecture with specific knowledge in the areas of health care design, materials specifications and quality assurance processes. Often contractors view architects with disdain because they feel the designer doesn’t understand the challenges of putting together a building as designed. I have had many contractors tell me over the years that they find my understanding of their job of constructing the building to have been a major factor in successfully building the project we’ve collaborated to produce. I have been called upon to rein in projects that have been out of control in terms of budgets, schedules, design schedule, or unforeseen problems because of my practical knowledge and understanding of construction processes and methods and the business of managing architecture.
