I have 30 years of experience, and specialize in the field of human-computer interaction with specific knowledge in the areas of GUI, user interface design and accessibility. I have published on such topics as pointing interaction and haptics, GUI graphics and visualization and WWW database user interfaces. I have testified on Web interfaces for databases. I have always followed my interests, but I had to wait for the rest of the world to catch up with them. When a teenager, I tried to program a computer to talk English with me. It took 15 years for the emerging discipline of computer science to recognize this as a legitimate research area. When that happened, I entered a PhD program and became one of the pioneers in human-computer interaction.
