I have 35 years of experience, and specialize in the field of arboriculture with specific knowledge in the areas of tree valuation and appraisal, forensic examination of trees and herbicide and wildfire injury to trees. I have published on such topics as applied tree appraisal theory, tree triage following wildfire and numerous host-specific tree pests and diseases. I have testified 14 times on topics such as tree valuation and appraisal, wrongful removal, herbicide, and wildfire damage and failure analysis / personal injury cases. One of my early articles on tree appraisal theory was a catalyst for the recent national movement to an “assignment-based” approach to tree appraisal.
