I have 24 years of experience, and specialize in the field of social psychology with specific knowledge in the areas of legal psychology, psychology of gender and psycholinguistics. I have published on such topics as language use in the courtroom, change of venue surveys and voir dire honesty and sex bias in language and children’s books. I have testified on change of venue surveys, the biasing effects in voir dire of social desirability, confirmation bias, the vividiness effect, community pressure, and other social psychological forces. I have taught psychology at the college level, including courses or units on legal psychology, research methods, social psychology, statistics, and the psychology of gender for over 20 years. I have been involved in four change of venue surveys as well as doing other legal survey work.
