I have 0 year of experience, and specialize in the field of counselor educator. I have a Ph.D in Counseling and am a licensed professional counselor in Oregon. I have done private practice, consultaion, and worked at six universities as a counselor educator. My expertise is in suicide and suicide prevention and includes sub-topics such as signs and symptoms, risk and protective factors, approaches to suicide prevention and crisis management, counseling suicide survivors, and suicide prevention in the schools. I have published nine textbooks three of which are in the area of suicide.I like and enjoy doing trainings for schools, agencies, universities and other groups on this and other topics and have presented in most parts of the US.From time to time, I do trainings on aspects of working with groups, ethical issues in counseling, grief and loss, and counseling youth at risk.
