I have 16 years of experience, and specialize in the field of women’s mental health with specific knowledge in the areas of pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum depression and postpartum psychosis. I have published on such topics as assessment and treatment of perinatal mood disorders, postpartum depression and the legal arena and PTSD in pregnancy. I have testified 15 times on topics such as infanticide, neonaticide and child abuse. I am a psychotherapist in private practice specializing in women’s mental health around issues pertaining to pregnancy, birth and the onset of perinatal mood disorders. I have presented numerous workshops nationally and internationally on the assessment and treatment of postpartum depression. In 2007, I received an award for my contributions to the field of maternal mental health and child-bearing. I have testified in the state legislature on postpartum bills. I am widely published in academic journals.
