I have 30 years of experience, and specialize in the field of resident engineering, construction management, construction inspection, and materials certification, with specific knowledge in the areas of federally funded mega projects, movable bridges, high profile projects, community outreach, and major bridge structures. I have published on such topics as environmental risk management during construction projects and bridges. I have testified 20 times on topics such as construction site accidents and safety. Managing the Third Avenue Bridge included an ocean tow of the 300-foot long swing span, from Mobile AL, where it was fabricated and erected as a single span, to its final location in the Harlem River. Floating it through the New York Harbor, specifically via the East River along the FDR, was featured on the front page of the New York Times, and the feat of floating it into place, using tides, was documented on The Discovery Channel’s “Mega Builders”, Episode: Spanning the Harlem.
