I have 20 years of experience, and specialize in the field of acute care nursing with specific knowledge in the areas of neurology, neurosurgery and general ICU patients. I have published on such topics as biomarkers of recovery, traumatic brain injury and subarachnoid hemorrhage. My current research is grounded in my clinical experience. As an intensive care unit nurse I was very observant of problems experienced by patients during the recovery period. These problems are the focus of my current research aimed at identifying influential pathways on recovery in order to inform future work to improve outcomes.
