I have 15 years of experience, and specialize in the field of forensic handwriting and document examination with specific knowledge in the areas of forgery, document alterations and fraud. I have published on such topics as Parkinsons disease and handwriting, inert hand signature and examination of ink jet versus photocopy. I have testified 60 times on topics such as simulated signatures and altered documents. In the new 21st Century, more emphasis is now being placed on training and experience, court qualifications and board certifications. The professional developmentof proper and recognized training is primary. When seeking an expert, one should thoroughly examine that expert’s background for training and board certification and court qualification. In examination or cross-examination a description of how those certifications are earned is important and should be discussed before a judge and jury so that the professionalism to accomplish those certifications.
