I have 15 years of experience, and specialize in the field of geophysics with specific knowledge in the areas of seismology, inverse theory and time series analysis. I have published on such topics as seismic tomography, spectral analysis of satellite data and autonomous underwater oceanic devices. I am an assistant professor of geophysics with very broad interests in the quantitative earth sciences. I have over twenty peer-reviewed scientific publications to my name. I have reviewed well over one hundred scientific papers and proposals to government agencies in the U.S. and abroad. I have served as an associate editor of several journals for several years. I have mentored undergraduate, graduate students and post-docs. I have traveled extensively. I speak English, French and Dutch with extreme fluency, and get by very well in German.
