I have 25 years of experience, and specialize in the field of structural engineering with specific knowledge in the areas of theater, amusement devices and themeing. I have published on such topics as wind loading of temporary structures and architectural themeing. I have been involved form the conception to implementation of many innovative and unusual structures for the entertainment industry, ranging from lightweight systems to massive assemblies. These designs often involve the integration of aesthetics, structure, machinery, controls, and safety features, in unique situations. The solutions are often innovative and creative, considering many variables. My work has been for consulting engineering firms and as an in-house engineer for specialty entertainment contractors. I am proud of my extensive contributions in restoration of historic Broadway theaters.
