I have 20 years of experience, and specialize in the field of chemistry and chemicals, with specific knowledge in the areas of chemistry and chemicals, energy conversion materials such as thermoelectrics and environmental remediation. I have published on such topics as materials design, heat to electricity conversion materials, and heavy toxic metal removal materials. I have invented several materials which are capable of converting heat to electricity with record breaking efficiency that are useful in waste heat harvesting. I have over ten patents. I run a group of twenty PhD graduate students and postdoctoral fellows who are pursuing broad lines of materials research in my laboratory. I sit on the editorial advisory board of several scientific journals. I have co-founded a start up company. I have served on several proposal reviewing panels for the National Science Foundation, the Department of Energy and the European Commission.
