I have 15 years of experience, and specialize in the field of electrical engineering with specific knowledge in the areas of system identification, condition assessment and damage detection. I have published on such topics as bridge testing, structural rating and health monitoring. I have performed instrumented monitoring, diagnostic testing (e.g., truckload, modal impact, etc.) and associated data processing on nearly four dozen bridges including a variety of different bridge types: long span, short span, concrete deck on steel girder, suspension, truss, fiber reinforced composite, and cable stayed bridges. The purposes of testing and subsequent analysis have been to develop practical, field-rugged testing methods and to obtain data necessary for the objective evaluation of such structural performance indices as load and fatigue rating, overload evaluation, design verification, characterization of general bridge performance and health, evaluation of new materials, and evaluation of retrofits.
