I have published on such topics as transistors, DNA and gas sensors and electrical circuits. I have testified on expert witness regarding the failure of alcohol bracelet. I am professor and chairman of the department of electrical engineering. I am also the director of the biomedical engineering program. I have been teaching and conducting research in the area of microelectronic devices, sensors, and nanostructures for more than 20 years. I have been a consultant for many years to many industrial firms. I have been invited to be a session chair and invited speaker in many professional conferences. I provided a consulting service to the Egyptian government in 2000, regarding the establishment of high tech industry in Egypt.
