I have 21 years of experience, and specialize in the field of Bayesian statistics with specific knowledge in the areas of forensics, medical research and military decision making. I have published on such topics as breast cancer, identification by genetic means and the law of large numbers. Prior to my current career, I worked as an analyst for the U.S. Navy. I developed a computer program for tracing sound rays in the ocean. This program ran on a 1980s desktop and was employed in anti-submarine warfare (ASW) operations by U.S. Navy ships at sea. This program reduced ray-tracing time from days to minutes. I still have the “Thank You” note from ADM Pierre Charbonnet that acknowledges my direct contribution to the Navy’s ASW efforts.
