I have 6 years of experience, and specialize in the field of wetland ecology with specific knowledge in the areas of wetland delineation, stable isotopes and avian communities. I have published on such topics as Northern Saw-whet Owl migration patterns and habitat use, avian communities of coastal Georgia wetlands and avian trophic webs in coastal Georgia as assessed through stable isotopes. While I have no formal expert testimony experience yet, I have served as a consultant to the U.S. Department of Justice. My specific role in the case was to model scientifically justifiable “similarly situated wetlands” that have a “significant nexus” of impacts on navigable waters of the U.S. The U.S. Supreme Court directed the District Court to determine the legal definitions of “significant nexus” and “similarly situated wetlands.” However, our expert testimony became unnecessary when the case was settled before going back to the District Court.
